Happy Spring!!!

What a beautiful day it was here today...I actually had the patio doors open all afternoon while I worked at my computer.  I have had a very busy month and haven't spent much time making cards.  I have started a few new projects.  I am working on a sewing pattern and I finally got it all cut out and now have to start the sewing portion....deep breath...hope it turns out.  While I was digging for some supplies for that I came across my tote full of cross stitch supplies and decided to work on a kit.  I have also been working on a couple of sculpey projects for some cosplay accessories.  When I get them finished I will post them.  All that and I also started work on an altered book, so with that and work I really haven't had time to work on cards .... but I really wanted to make one today.

I haven't done a challenge in a while and I didn't even know where to begin.  So I checked out some of my favorite sites for inspiration and this is what I found.   Prairie Paper & Ink is one of my favorite sites to visit for inspiration and info.  She always makes the cutest cards and has some fabulous video how to's.  This card she put up the other day was so great I just had to CASE it.  I used to do this technique all the time and was glad she posted it.  Here are a couple of cards I used this technique for over the last few years...I love making patterned paper to suit my needs and colors.

However, I do have a ton of patterned paper I need to put to use.  Well, I'll get to that eventually...LOL!

Anyhow on to today's card...I wanted to take part in the Simon Says Wednesday challenge...Glitter it.  I used the same colors that were in Amy's card but I did not die cut my greeting.  Instead I chose a greeting I wanted and simply stamped it on the card when I was finished stamping out the background.  Greeting is from the Kraftin Kimmie "Wonderland Greetings" stamp set and I used versa fine onyx black ink.
I used memento inks for all the background stamps (pear tart, dandelion, rose bud & tangelo).  I pulled the stamps from several different sets.
Leaves (pear tart) - Ranger Dylusions - doodle parts
Large flower & dot circles (rose bud) - Stampin Up - seeing spots
Small flower (dandelion) - Bo Bunny - Ambrosia
Solid dots (tangelo) - Technique Tuesday - talking in circles

Then to add some glitter for the challenge I randomly added diamond stickles to flowers and dots.  It is hard to tell in the picture but it is there.

Well that was kind of a long ramble...but I did get a card made and posted.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone!!!
