Paper Piecing

I have been super busy the last couple of weeks and haven't had much time to do any challenges (or update my blog).  I discovered that I might have enough time to take part in this weeks Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge.

Since I decided to use a stamp from the Alice In Wonderland series I decided to check the Altered Alice site and see what the challenge was for this month.  Gardens & Flowers!!! So I decided to use a floral patterned paper for the card and add some prima flowers as embellishments.

Here is the card I came up with for the paper piecing challenge.  I'm not super happy with the colouring but I didn't have time to redo it.  The cup and saucer are paper pieced with the same paper that I used for the background on the card.  It is an old patterned paper called organic laurel by Bo Bunny.  I used the backside of it for the saucer.  The stamp is "the dormouse" by Kraftin' Kimmie and I coloured him with copic marker (E02, 11, 21, 23, 25 - C1 & C3 - YG 21, 23, &25).  The flowers are from prima and I used some coloured brads to put them together.  The greeting is from the dormouse stamp set as well and I stamped it with archival black ink.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend everyone!!!

Deanna I think your card is fantastic! I don't know why you're not happy with it! Love that paperpieced tea cup! Thanks so much for joining us at Kraftin' Kimmie this week, and hope you join us again soon! Please consider turning off that robot thing. It's VERY hard to read and sometimes I just have to give up and move on. Thank you for your consideration!! :)
hugs, Sharon

Your card is adorable and I love the photos of your cat! Mine are the same and I am forever checking my cards to make sure there isn't cat hair stuck on them! Thanks for playing along with us at Kraftin Kimmies!
