I found time to get in my craft room last night but I was hit with a bad case of creator's block. I just couldn't think of a thing to make. Whenever that happens I go through websites I like and find a card to CASE. I usually put them in an inspiration file and then use them when I hit a block. I didn't have a lot of time to work last night so I found a quick and easy birthday card to make. I found the original card on splitcoaststampers but hers is way neater than mine.
The reason I did this one was because I had the embossing folder and lots of black and white paper LOL. Mine is a few layers and I don't really use many flowers on my cards (I really should because I have a whole drawer full of them). I embossed the white paper and inked over it with a black versa magic ink pad (which is why it is kind of messy) so I decided to ink edges of every thing and go for the distressed look. It also factored into my patterned paper decision, a distressed look black and white paper by My Mind's Eye. Instead of the flower I used some black rhinestones by kaiser craft to add a little more embellishment.
OK well that's it for me tonight, I have to work tomorrow and teach a class on Monday so I hope to be back with a new post on Tuesday. Until then have a great week everyone.

Be Mine!
I really don't have a lot of Valentine's stamps I just can't seem to find sets I really like. I did borrow a few stamps from a friend and thought this image was cute for Valentine's day. The main image on this card is called "The Little Things" and it is from Lili of the Valley stamps.
I love easel cards and I have been wanting to try this style one for awhile. Most of the ones I make are 4"x4" when folded up, this one is 4" x 5 1/2". I think I might use this style for a card in my next class. Anyway on to the important bits of info. I stamped the image with memento black ink and coloured it with copic markers. The colouring isn't the greatest I was kind of tired when I did this. The copics I used for this card are as follows B60, 63, 66, 91, 93, 95 - E000, 00, 21, 25, 27 - RV21, 23, 25 - R20 - G40, 82 - N0, 1, 3. 5.
I embossed the green card stock using the d'vine swirl embossing folder by cuttlebug. I cut the hearts out on the cricut machine and stamped the swirls and greetings with memento pear tart ink. I edged the pieces using versa magic pink petunia and aloe vera inks. The greeting stamps are by autumn leaves and crafty secrets and the patterned paper is from the basic grey sultry line. I highlighted the flowers and bow in with a stardust glitter pen and the rhinestones are from kaiser craft.
I think I'll go and see if I can get another card made tonight. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Thank You Fairy Much!
Here is the other project I was trying to post last night. The picture was taken with my iPad and it seems to pick up the glitter and shine from things like stardust pens and glossy accents more than my regular camera does.
I do actually have a stamp that says "thank you fairy much" but the style of it didn't suit this card. The thank you stamp on this card is from the flourishes "tag line" stamp set, I use the greetings from this set a lot. The image and patterned paper are from the Graphic 45 "once upon a springtime collection". I got the stamps for Christmas (thanks Kaz) the stamps are by Hampton Arts (there are 3 sets for the graphic 45 springtime collection) this stamp is from set 3. I stamped the image on Gina K 120lb white cardstock and coloured it with copics (E0000, 000, 00, 42, 43, 44 - BG0000, 70, 72, 75 - G0000, 40 - RV23, N0, 3) I used stardust pen over her wings and on the flowers. The image and mats were cut out using spellbinders large and small labels and the rhinestones are from Kaiser craft (blue grey). I edged the image and small piece of patterned paper with versa magic oasis green.
Well I have to go to work now but maybe I'll get a chance to do so more crafting tonight. Until next time have a great rest of the week end and happy crafting!

Thank You
I know this post is a little late. I was so busy last week that I didn't have a chance to get in my craft room until yesterday. I did manage to get my 2 projects finished but I didn't get them posted. I got the new app for my iPad and spent over an hour trying to learn how to use it and post from it. I finally gave up about midnight. I'll have to try again when I'm not so tired.
Today I have my regular computer available to me and I can get these projects posted. To be different I decided to make some Thank You cards and here is the first one. I'm not totally happy with it but oh well.
The image and border on this card is from the pixie glen pyske cuts paper by Prima Marketing. I stamped the greeting on the card stock with vintage photo distress ink and then embossed it with the stylized flowers folder from cuttlebug. I edged that piece with versa magic sage ink It is hard to see the image part clearly because of the light hitting the glossy accents I put on it. The middle is a clock that I added some stardust pen to as well and some rhinestones. The ones on the clock I coloured with copic marker BG72 and for the ones on the background piece I used YG91.
I'll be back in a little bit with the other card I made yesterday. Thanks for stopping by.

Love Letter
I didn't have much time in the craft room tonight, but here is a quick and simple Valentine or Love card. I am trying to use up the last bits of this Melissa Frances paper. So I decided to make another card using it and the "French Mail" stamp set by Crafty Secrets. I stamped everything with walnut stain distress ink and distressed all the edges and inked them with the same ink. I coloured the image with copic markers E000, R20 & E21 and the rhinestones are from kaiser craft.
That's it for tonight, just a quick post because I'm sharing my computer with my husband right now and I'm going to let him get some work done. Have a great weekend everyone!

Love
Well, if you have been following my blog you know I am trying to use up some of my patterned paper. I have have way too much 12" x 12" paper. So as a challenge to myself I decided back in November that I have to update my blog twice a week with 1 new project for each post, that uses some patterned paper. Well I have managed to do that since then and am going to keep doing so...hopefully until the end of February. March is a crazy month for me and I might not be able to post as much then. Anyhow I have managed to cut way back on buying 12"x12" patterned paper but, I have a new "love" and it is the 6"x6" patterned paper pads. I love that you get the whole line in the pack and that the pattern is condensed to a smaller size perfect for cards also they don't take up as much room. Since I am making mostly cards and not scrap booking as much these days I figured this would be a great solution.
So for this Valentine's card I used paper from the bittersweet 6x6paper pad by basic grey. I used 3 different patterned papers for this card. The love and xoxo stamp are from the Autumn Leaves 'love with a flourish' stamp set. The flourish stamp around the card is from the basic grey 'flourish corners' and stamped with memento rich cocoa ink. I distressed the edges of the paper and inked it with walnut stain distress ink. The circle was cut out on the cricut and popped up on 3d dots. The rhinestones are from kaiser craft.
Well I'll be back tomorrow with another project. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week end!!!

Finally Finished...
...well sort of. I'm not totally sure of the decorations on the front cover. I started this flip and fold book over 6 months ago and decided to finish it tonight. Once I decide what pictures I am going to put in the book I will add a title block to the front. When I do that it may mean moving or removing the flowers I put on the cover. I've tried making these flowers before without much success but after a quick refresher lesson from Shelley at Scrap Arts yesterday I tried again. These ones turned out OK but not fabulous. Well anyway here is the finished project ... for now. When I add pictures and redo the cover I will post a couple of update pictures.

I have updated my class schedule page with a list of dates & times of my January & February classes. Have a great weekend everyone!

More Love & Romance Cards
I finally finished all the cards for my Love & Romance class. I will put the schedule for January and February up tomorrow. The last 2 cards don't use any patterned papers but lots of stamps.
For the side pop up card I used a La Blanche stamp for the centre rose image, xoxo stamp is from autumn leaves love with a flourish stamp set and basic grey flourish edges stamps. I also used the basic grey & autumn leaves stamp sets for the I Love You card. I embossed the piece after it was stamped with the d'vine swirl cuttlebug embossing folder. I cut out all the shaped pieces on the cricut machine using the storybook cartridge.
I will post a group picture of the class cards on the class schedule page. I still needed to make another card for my challenge, so I decided to make another variation of Je t'aime card. I still had all the supplies out so it was easy to do. I used bitter chocolate & french vanilla card stock and Melissa Frances patterned paper. The stamps are by crafty secrets and I used walnut stain and pumice stone distress ink. The image piece is popped up with 3d dots.
Well that's all for tonight, I'll be back tomorrow with another card. Have a great weekend and until next time Happy Crafting everyone!
